These are three words that characterize my pedagogical style. I was trained through the Suzuki method as a child, but I prefer a more integrated approach with my own students. I emphasize reading from the beginning of our instruction, but do not neglect creative development and ear training.
Each student’s course of study is individually tailored, but I heavily lean toward the well-proven techniques of the piano’s history.
For my young students, I want to help parents understand their role in the pedagogical process. This will involve helping with strategies for successful practice times, finding appropriate goals, providing resources for you and your child to practice “active listening,” as well as helping parents to guard against the pitfalls of feeling defeated.

I charge by the semester. Prices will slightly vary based on scheduling, but plan on spending up to $380 per semester. I only charge $100 for summer enrollment.
